Mr Thulani Samuel Tshabalala serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the South African Disability Development Trust (SADDT) and previously served as the Provincial Manager of Disabled People South Africa. He has dedicated his life to the facilitating of development and inclusion of disabled people, focusing on economic development through employment, assistive device provision, skills development, entrepreneurship, advocacy and awareness projects.

He has previously served on several boards focused on governance, empowerment and the inclusion of person with disabilities. He is a member of the Presidential Working Group on Disability (PWGD) and serves as Trustee of the Disability Empowerment Concerns Trust (DECT) whilst continuing to support Disabled People South Africa on a voluntary basis.

In his career he has contributed to several research and policy developments in response to disability. He has facilitated nationally training and development for over 3000 disabled people and facilitated the provision of assistive devices to over 2000 who are economically active, both as employed and self-employed.

He holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Disability Studies, a Diploma in Occupational Development and Training Practices and Certificates in Management of Non-Profit and Community-Based Organisations Business Administration, and Project Management
