The Innovation for Inclusive Development (IID) Programme has been set up to support the implementation of Department of Science and Innovation’s IID projects. IID supports the development of innovative solutions that solve societal challenges, particularly facing indigent communities in rural and township environments. The solutions are intended to provide systemic interventions through a comprehensive, government-wide approach. It supports simple social innovations (products and services) developed by people in rural and township communities.
