Kraalbos Bio-Health Products Pty Ltd is commercialising IBATECh (biostimulant) that is licensed by Western Cape (UWC).

The project was funded for development plant growth biostimulant that can be used to enhance crop production instead of use of chemicals such as fertilizers. iBATECH® is now registered as a Group 3 fertiliser under Act 36 of 1974. This natural product is derived from the kraalbos (Galenia africana) plant. The good results obtained ascertain that biostimulant technology and science is critical, in an environment where especially the use and application of synthetic nitrogen-based fertilizers need to be reduced due to the environmental pollution.

Kraalbos has a product distribution agreement with Seed 2 Harvest (Pty) Ltd, a South African registered company for the marketing of iBATECH in the SADC region.
