
Loyiso Tyira, a seasoned professional and industry leader in Information Technology holds a record of academic and professional achievements that underline his commitment to excellence and innovation in the field. With roots in computer science from the University of Cape Town, Loyiso further expanded his expertise with higher certificates from UNISA Business School and GIBS, in addition to industry-recognized credentials such as the Cisco CCNA and ITIL certifications. Loyiso was also awarded Postgraduate Diploma in Management (Digital Business) from the Wits Business School.
As a member of both IODSA and ITCP(SA), Loyiso has earned the ITCP(SA) designation and is progressing towards a Certified Director Designation with IODSA. His professional journey spans two decades in the IT sector, beginning in 2002 and encompassing roles from IT Administration to Senior IM Manager at renowned organizations including Business Connexion and Anglo American Platinum. In 2015, he embraced entrepreneurship, founding Future Business Consulting and taking a pivotal role in the ICT SMME Chamber, driving inclusivity within South Africa’s ICT economy.
In addition to his business endeavours, Loyiso actively shapes industry standards as the founding member and Chairperson of SAMDDRA, an organisation dedicated to maximising South African benefits from the mobile device industry. His governance roles extend to non-executive directorships with MICT Seta and Broadband Infraco, where he chairs vital committees instrumental in steering technology, innovation and knowledge management
