TIA Invitation for Call for Expression to Join External Expert Database

Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), an entity of the Department of Science and Innovation
(DSI) was established in terms of the TIA Act, 2008 (Act No. 26 of 2008), with the objective to stimulate, intensify and exploit technological innovation to improve economic growth and the
quality of life of all South Africans.

PURPOSE OF THE CALL
TIA extends invitations to prospective industry experts to join the Agency’s expert database.
The database is used to source independent industry experts to supplement internal capabilities for improved operational efficiency.

The following categories of experts are required:

Academic /Individuals
Industry Experts
Non-academic applicants, including Business, Technology Transfer Offices (TTO’s) and
Policy professionals

The appointed expert will support the Agency in assessing, evaluating, and verifying applications for investment including access to leading knowledge as and when required. This will include Deal Sourcing, Assessment, Deal Structuring, Project Management, Post Investment Support, Investment Finance, Workout and Restructuring, Legal and IP assessments, Impact Assessment and industry studies, Investment Forensic audit and investigations and Final project / programme performance review.
