The Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) is working in partnership with WWF South Africa (WWF-SA) on the national chapter of the international WWF Climate Solver programme.

The Climate Solver programme, which shares TIA’s Global Cleantech Innovation Programme South Africa (GCIP-SA) objective to identify technologies and enterprises that reduce carbon emissions and/or increase energy access, also aims to create awareness of the value of innovation as a tool to tackle climate change. Targeting small and medium sized enterprises active in climate innovation, the programme aims to create an environment that will impact positively on these enterprises’ ability to develop the capacity to develop and roll-out innovative technologies.

The partnership offers entrants to both programmes opportunities to benefit from the mentoring, training and global exposure offered by GCIP-SA and from the video marketing materials and recognition provided by the WWF Climate Solver Platform.

WWF has put out the call for nominations for the second round of the Climate Solver challenge ahead of (date). For more information go to www.wwf.org.za/climatesolver
